It is hard for one to be happy all the time in spite of all the things that one has or doesn’t have. A person may purchase something new and feel quite happy for a short while to only be disappointed by it breaking down. So! Where does real happiness come from? What is real happiness?
The psalmist gives us the answer in these two verses. First, true happiness does and can only come from Jesus Christ. He forgives one’s sin. Second, real happiness is experiencing that act of Christ in one’s life. It is eternal, and it doesn’t break down.
I know, because I’m happy, happy, happy!
